About Me

I am a first generation Iranian American born in London, raised in New York and now living in Toronto.

I grew up in a tight-knit Iranian Jewish community in New York. Most of my community fled Iran during the revolution in 1979, landing in New York only to start from scratch. Why is this so important to know? Because it is inextricably linked to who I am. My grit, dedication, and care for others is rooted in my culture and upbringing. I love talking to people, learning their stories, and understanding what makes them who they are.

I am also endlessly curious. And this curiosity has sent me to some of the most beautiful and complex corners of the world, personally and professionally. I have been a consultant throughout my entire career, helping the private and public sectors, social enterprises and non profits create efficiencies, new business opportunities, and value-add partnerships.

I started my career working for a New York-based business organization creating public and private forums across Latin America, and then went on to spend the next seven years in health tech, creating new business pipelines and building programming for companies and social enterprises with innovative solutions for infectious disease management and nutrition. I also founded and ran Canada’s first e-commerce platform for ethical fashion from Latin America.

I am a mother of three (a four year old and twin two year olds…yep!). Despite it being quite chaotic in my household, I get an indescribable joy watching my kids grow and interact with each other and the world every day. With or without children I am happiest outside, whether it’s biking, hiking, or swimming.

Why me?

  • Coming from the health tech sector, I am a strong proponent of adopting new, innovative technologies for social good. I have built a strong network in this sector and enjoy connecting complementary solutions to create greater impact.

  • I deeply understand the challenges of entrepreneurship and growth as an employee, advisor, and entrepreneur myself. I have been in the weeds and am not afraid of helping organizations overcome barriers to growth.

  • I deeply understand both the pre- and post-sales processes, having spent the majority of my career selling and delivering large-scale projects, many of which were the first of their kind.

  • If I say I’ll do something, I’ll do it. And I will do it thoroughly and efficiently. This is where being a mother of three under four gives me an advantage. I don’t like to waste time, I follow through on commitments, and I communicate clearly.

  • I am fluent in Spanish and Farsi, have intermediate proficiency in Portuguese and limited working proficiency in French and Hebrew. Beyond English, I am most comfortable speaking and writing in Spanish, having conducted business in Spanish for my entire career.
